As soon as she hears the vacuum go on....shaelynn comes running! Have you ever heard of a 1 year old that loved vacuums? None of my other kids liked them.....most of them were scared of it!

Well she likes to come put her mouth on the little light on the front.....I think she likes to feel the vibration! Anyway....just thought this was too funny!

Shae and Austin were happy to help make Tyler's birthday cake! At least they were happy to help lick the beaters and bowl clean! :)

Austin is definitely my big helper these days.....he loves to help take care of his little sister!

Tyler turned 8 on May 4th! I can't believe he is getting so big.....where did the time go?

He will be getting baptized this next month and starting cub scouts! Yikes!

Tyler invited 10 friends over for cake and punch and presents and games!

They played on the trampoline most of the time! Thanks Grandma.....it is definitely the new favorite thing!!!

They also did a water balloon relay race that ended up in a water balloon fight! Then we tossed footballs into the football net! Tyler was thrilled to get 7 new bakugans for his birthday among other fun stuff! :)

I currently have 109 hairbows!!! But I am in the process of making more.....cause I totally need them....ha ha! I had to make myself a new Flower Clip Holder with an additional ribbon to hold all my flowers and it still didn't give them all a home! I even eliminated.....and still not enough room! We made a Robot Valentine's Box with TYLER!

It was fun and he thought it turned out awesome!

We are so proud of Ty for reaching his 100% reading goal and earning his T-shirt and book! He is such a smart kid. He reads really well and loves math too! I can't believe how big he is!

Daniel woke me up this morning and told me I had to come take a picture of Austin.

I guess Austin wanted to shave like his Daddy was!

Like father like son.....ha ha! I also thought it was funny that neither of them had a shirt on! :)

He thought it was great....shaving at 2 years old....LOL!

Is she not the cutest thing you've ever seen??? She loves to climb up on this stool in the kitchen.....I dunno why, maybe she likes feeling taller? If it's in the middle of the room she gets stuck and when she realizes she can't get back down she yells till you come get her off, but it's so funny to watch her climb up and wave to you and get so proud of herself!

Austin couldn't miss out on a photo shoot! So he joined Shaelynn! What an adorable pair! I love his cowlicks and when his hair is combed he is just so handsome! Watch out girls....he's gonna be a heartbreaker!!!

Shaelynn looks so much older with her little pigtails! She can now tell you what the lion says.....and it is just so funny to hear a growl come out of this cute tiny little thing! I love her!

Can I just say how much I love these little pink boots! They are just TOO CUTE!!!

Our first real sledding trip of the season!!!

We went out to the Coral Pink sand dunes on Saturday for a snow day! :) I thought I had forgotten my camera, but found it when the kids were having hot chocolate and getting in the car to warm up!
Shae slept in the car until the kids were pretty much done....but we got her out for a minute while they had hot cocoa and pulled her around on the little tube. She wasn't too amused! :)

Daniel and I decided to run back up the hill and do a few more slides by ourselves while the kids warmed up in the car! So here is our self-portrait at the top of the hill! (Still kids at heart...ha ha)

Daniel tried snowboarding on the sled.....didn't work too well! :)

He got an earful of snow....lol! I was laughing so hard! ;P

I will have to get pics of the kids actually sledding from our friends (the Hiatts) who went with us, but until then....here they are in the car all worn out after a fun day of playing in the snow!

I was boxing stuff up and found my blessing dress so I sqeezed Shaelynn into it for a quick picture! She still fit in it at one year old! She is so tiny! I just couldn't do the top button up.

Another thing I forgot to put on her! We were flying to Florida on Halloween so I never dressed her up in her costume! So here is our little pink leapard (it's kinda small on her though)!

Austin and Shae love to play baby dolls together with her boy and girl twins she got for Christmas this year! So cute!

Carson and Shaelynn (we call them our twins 'cause they are only 2 weeks apart) had their birthday party together! (On Carson's b-day, December 6th)
Sitting on their gigantic presents! Not many people can do that!

They each had their own cake that was soooooo cute! Thanks Mom and Shanan!

Yummy Cake!!! Shaelynn loved it! Carson's cousin Adam snuck a bite too! Yum!!!

She thought it was great to grab handfuls and squish it between her fingers!

Carson, on the other hand, didn't like getting messy at all! He got upset when someone helped him get some cake! When he got a spoon to poke in it, he was much happier!

Shae got so messy we had to give her a quick bath in the sink!

First Snow.....

Daniel got his bike out and hooked a rope up to it and then attached it to the sled and gave the kids rides up and down the street......

Mikelle threw a big snowball up in the air and it came down right on top of her.....down her neck and everything......she went inside after this!

The sun came out today so our snowman has started melting! But we still got a picture of Tyler with him after school! We all love playing in the snow!!!

3 deer back in the garden area.......there's one more back there but she wouldn't fit in the picture!

Austin, Mica, and Shaelynn after going to Chad's funeral! Still can't believe he's gone! He was one of Daniel's best friends from high school! He was with Daniel the night we met! It was sad, he is just so young, but it was a very spiritual funeral! His family did a great job, it was so "Chad"! He was a cowboy all the way! He worked for Diamond G Rodeo and loved it! There was a rope and cowboy hat on top of the wood casket and it was carried to the cemetary in a horse drawn carriage with Chad's horse following behind! I'm tearing up just thinking about it! It really was neat! He will be missed!

Halloween Parties and Costume Parades at School!

The kindergartners get to wear costumes to school and parade thru all the classrooms! They also go trick or treating at the banks, so Mikelle got to go trick of treat to Daddy at State Bank! FUN!The first graders had the option of bringing a costume to wear after lunch or just wear pajamas for "pajama day"!

Tyler opted to wear his spiderman pj's so he wouldn't have to change, because his outfit is like pajamas and a costume.....ha ha! I thought it was a great idea too!

Crazy Hair Day!!!

Ok, this one has nothing to do with crazy hair! It was just so cute I had to throw it in!

It is Red Ribbon Week at school! Monday they wore "Camo" to help in the fight against drugs! Tuesday they wore "crazy socks" so they could sock it to drugs (or something like that). Wednesday they wore their clothes "inside out or backwards" because drugs turn you inside out (I think).

Today is "Crazy Hair Day", something about it's crazy to do drugs! Side view of Mikelle's hair!

Tyler, and the back of Mikelle's hair! We sprayed glitter in her hair too! Tomorrow is Pajama Day and Halloween costumes! FUN!!!

Austin fell asleep mid-bite! I just thought it was so funny! I have picture of Mikelle with an apple slice hanging out of her mouth in this same recliner chair! It's just so comfy and they are just so tired........can't........take.......one........more.........bite.......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!

Homecoming Parade!

The High School has a parade every year and the kindergarteners always get to be in it! So fun!

Grandma Lauri came to see Mikelle in the homecoming parade (pics of that coming later)!
So we picked a bunch of pumpkins to send home with her for our annual Halloween Party! Can't wait to paint or carve them in a couple weeks! Yea!!!

I love pumpkin pictures.....so I wanted to grow pumpkins in my garden to have my own pumpkin patch! Well, the squash bugs ate my plants so my pumpkin patch is not so cute!

So we had to pick the pumpkins and take pictures on the grass! I need a bale of hay or somethin' to make a cute background! Maybe next year!

Gone Fishin'......

Football practice was canceled on Monday because there was no school, so Daniel got off work a little early and we went to Mammoth Creek to do a little fishin' for FHE!
This is the first place I tried putting Shaelynn, but she wouldn't stay on the blanket. She just kept crawling off to eat grass and bugs!

The kids mostly just got their feet wet, because they said it was too cold! Tyler caught some water skeeters though!

I just liked the kind of silhouette type look of this pic!

Austin's favorite thing to do was find big rocks to throw in the water! (And scare all the fish away....ha ha! We didn't catch anything......but we still had lots of fun!)

He is havin' a great time!

Shaelynn is helping Daddy untie knots......or vice versa.....I'm not sure!

I think we finally found the perfect spot for Shae! She couldn't eat anything nasty and she liked being up where she could see everybody!

Austin even came to play with her for a minute.....in between throwing rocks!

They loved being outside and going for walks! We just need to remember to be fully clothed and have tennis shoes instead of flip flops next time! There is lots of stinging nettle up there.....and though we were careful, Austin still tripped and touched some with his hand!

Daniel has been coaching the 5th and 6th grade football team and therefore has practice every day after work.......he is super busy, so the only way we get to see him is if we go to practice too!

The other kids were playing in the laundry basket earlier so it had toys in it.....so I put Shaelynn in there to play! She loved it!!!

I love this outfit! Soooooo darling!!! Pink and brown have been favorites for awhile now! ;)

When she learned to stand up it was time to get out!!!

......the kindergarten has started! Mikelle was soooooo excited! I can't count how many times between last night and this morning she asked me if she was going to school today...."right when I wake up?" LOL!!! She could not wait!
Do you like Tyler's "Superman curl"? Ha ha.....he asked me to do it like that! They look so cute all ready for school! I love it!

Mikelle got out of the car and says, "Bye, Mom!" and I'm like "Wait.....I'm going to walk you into class!" LOL......Who is the nervous one??? That would be me! :)

This is her backpack hook! She is such a cute girl......so independent, and social, and happy! I can't believe she is getting so big!

I snapped this one as I was going out the door and the school bell was ringing! I thought it was funny....ha ha!

Mikelle made it thru her first day! She thought it was great.....especially that they had cupcakes for snack 'cause it was someone's birthday! YEA! She is five years old until next month when she turns 6!

Austin wanted to be like Mikelle and show that he is 2 years old! What a big boy! He wants to go to school too like his big brother and sister! Gotta get potty trained first, bud! Ha ha!

One kid back to school and one more to go......Mikelle is very frustrated that she has to wait a week to start kindergarten and Tyler gets to go to school already!
Tyler was super excited about starting first grade!

He had an awesome first day and says that "First grade is even MORE fun than kindergarten!" and then to Mikelle "You have got to go to first grade!" (She will.....next year.....lol) Oh, funny thing Mikelle said to me today while I was doing her hair, "I wish I had girl hair!" and then she went on about how she was mad at Tyler for cutting it! I laughed and told her how cute I thought her short hair is.....ha ha! We will have to style it really cute for her first day of kindergarten. ;)

Shaelynn is finally happy to play while laying on her tummy! It's a miracle! She used to just scream if she got stuck on her belly!

She may even start crawling soon! Yea....I think......sometimes I'm not so sure!

This is one of the few "terribles" (not that terrible in my book)!
He got the poultry scissors out of the knife drawer to cut open the loaf of bread!

Then spread out all the pieces and took bites out of several of them! Little stinker! But how can you be mad at that cute little face?

Austin has really been a piece of cake for a 2 year old! He is very easy-going and generally a very happy kid! When he's tired he drops wherever he's at.....even on the hard kitchen floor!

His new thing is "feeding the baby".....just in the last few days I've seen him lifting his shirt up and telling me he's feeding his baby! LOL! He cracks me up!

Austin was the first one up this morning and when I got up I found him wearing his little baseball cap (which he loves if you can't tell) and reading "Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see?" to his baby doll! He is such a sweet little boy and I love him so much! He definitely brings lots of smiles and giggles to our family!

Squash Bugs! Aaaaaaaaahhhh!!!

This is where they have all been hiding!
In the pumpkins!!! These things reproduce like crazy! I am constantly squishing them! But I have never seen anything like this before! The pumpkins are kinda hard to get to right now 'cause the plants are so huge.....so the bugs are taking over!

A cute little orange pumpkin! I'm excited for October! Hopefully we will still have some by then!

The tomatoes are doing awesome.....I just need some sturdier cages.....they are so big and heavy that they are tipping them over!

Yea for watermelons! They are finally coming on! Hooray! Can't wait for them to be ripe!

The cantaloupes are producing really well and we are sure looking forward to trying one of them here soon!

This is a big ol' spaghetti squash and a zucchini behind it if you look closely! We've had 2 spaghetti squash already! Yummy!

Isn't this amazing! I love it! But this picture doesn't quite do the mountain of zucchini and yellow sqash on my counter justice(especially the monster zucchini they are piled on)! We've really been enjoying the tomato and cucumbers lately! The carrots and onions need a little bit longer though....they are still fairly small! I see a few squash meals in my future....don't you? Let me know if you want some squash.....fajitas with squash is my new favorite! Please come take some.....I really can't eat it all....and my kids are really getting sick of it! ;)

This is our neice Kelsey.....who was baptized July 11th! We are so proud of her.....she is such a sweet little girl! :) I'm glad my kids have such awesome cousins to look up to!

I took this picture to show a new flower and headband I made....and thought it was too cute not to share!

I have finally learned how to style short hair (kinda...it's a work in progress)

I didn't even dress them matching on purpose....but so cute, huh?

I love my little cheesers!!!! Where's Tyler? Good question! I just realized I have all the kids except him in this post! (unless you count his foot you can see in the corner of the pic of just Mikelle...ha ha)

Austin had a bubble bath and I talked him into letting me put bubbles on his face (he wasn't too sure about it at first) and I took a picture and showed him and he said, "Me...Ho, Ho!" I laughed.....and then taught him how to say "Santa"! Cute kid!

Then we spiked it "like a dinosaur"!

Then he put bubbles on my face but.......we didn't take a picture of that!

Shaelynn loves baths.....she loves to splash and kick her cute little feet...and she even figured out how to spin the little purple wheel on the bath toy!

Shaelynn Noel Church.......can it really have been a half a year since she was born?
We love her big ol' grins.....

She loves to chew on anything she can reach.......and she has a pretty good reach.....:)

She loves to watch this little dog "walk" around (there's a video at the end) and chew on his ears

I put her on the floor in the living room with cartoons on while I was cleaning and I came back to find Austin had joined her! They almost look like they are having a little conversation! So cute!

Austin loves his baby sister so much....he has a knack for making her laugh....

She even lets him hold her and kiss her.......for a minute.....

She loves the grass.....I have a hard time getting her to look at me while she's sitting on it!

I love dresssing her up for church on Sundays.....

She is such a pretty little thing! I keep thinking she is still so little, but I saw a younger baby in church and realized how big she really is.....I wish she'd be a baby FOREVER.....However.....for her age.....she is still "little"......these are newborn shoes that she wore last Sunday.....they barely fit....but they were so cute.....so I guess for 6 months old she is still tiny!

Some things she loves are:

Eating (she'd probably nurse 24/7)

Chewing on her toys ( or anything for that matter)

Looking at herself in the mirror (this is a surefire way to get her to stop crying)

*She HATES weeding....even if I'm holding her.....or she's sitting in a stroller with toys....or whatever.....she hates it when I weed! I wonder what my neighbors think 'cause she always screams when I'm weeding in the garden! I try and do it when she's sleeping now! :)

We love this little girl so much...and are so blessed to have her in our family!!!

Father's Day Weekend meant free entrance into Zion National Park! Yea!!! We like free days!
Austin was getting so excited and pointing up at the mountains he saw out the sun roof!

We rode the shuttle bus.....to Springdale?!?!? We got on the wrong one! So then we got off and caught another one back to the entrance and then found the one that goes up the canyon to the hiking areas!

We're ready to go hiking! We did the lower Emerald Pools Hike! Our friends the Corry's came too!

We have already had 2 reunions this year (actually 3, but 2 of them were on the same weekend so we didn't make it to both)! I didn't have my camera at the Keith Church Reunion on Cedar Mountain....but we had a lot of fun (Thanks to Jake and Ana for putting it together)! These first 2 pics are at the Heber Valley Camp where we had our Steiner Reunion....I know....I had my camera this time and I only took 2 pictures.....I'll do better when I don't have a baby attached to me! :)

I made this flower before Shaelynn was even born and I thought it was so cute.....I had to take pictures 'cause this is the first time she has worn it! I was excited to find an outfit that had yellow in it! :) Isn't she so pretty?

We love this little girl's smiles...they are so big and so contagious....she gets excited with her whole body and almost jumps right out of her chair or your arms or wherever she is! It is so funny!

Gardening is so much fun....and so much work!!!

The onions are lookin' good! Also there are little green onions and carrots on either side of the onions that are just starting to sprout! Yea!!! (I know.....I need to weed, but my garden is HUGE I'd need an army to have all the weeds gone every day!)

My beans are doing well.....we even have a few that are ready to be picked! You can also see the peppers in the background!

Austin is showing you the peas....we have two different varieties and the taller ones are almost as tall as he is! I saw one pea pod on there today and they are starting to get some more blossoms! I love peas!

We planted some pumpkin seeds so we wouldn't have to buy any for Halloween.....little did we know they would do so well! This is the biggest of the 8 plants....I'm actually pretty excited about our own little pumpkin patch! :)

Here are some yellow sqash plants (we have lots of these....I'm sure we will be giving it away)!

One of our early girl tomato plants already has a tomato on it! :)

Strawberries.....we have already had a dozen of them.....Austin likes to pick them and eat 'em whether they are ripe or not....we are working on this problem :) The raspberry starts are in the back!

Here is the grapevine that was already here when we moved in (we didn't even know it was there until last year 'cause it looked so dead, but with a little water and weeding it is looking great and even more productive than last year!

This is a view of the whole garden and also a corner of the grass where we just put seed down this year! Daniel has mowed it once and we think it is doing pretty good! Our back yard is very long....the front half is grass and the back half is garden! We definitely have our work cut out for us! Some of the other things we have planted that are not pictured are: Watermelon, canteloupe, spaghetti squash, zuchini squash, red peppers, chile peppers, jalapeno peppers, spinach, and bok choy(for those of you that don't what that is...it kinda reminds me of celery...very yummy) and I still plan on planting some radishes, lettuce, cilantro, basil, dill, mint, and picking up some cucumber starts to plant! I better hurry! :)

Austin loves to play on the swingset.....he pretty much loves anything outdoors just like any other kid his age!

This pic wasn't that great, but I just couldn't leave Austin holding the baby long enough to get a great shot! But I had to show that these are my helpers in the garden.....Austin likes to help weed and does a pretty good job, and Shaelynn just wants to go wherever I am going and makes it more of a challenge to figure out how to do things one handed! We have lots of fun! :)

I am soooooo sad! I was just starting to enjoy doing her hair in ringlets and and trying all these cute little girly hairdos! I thought I was past this stage for them......they are old enough to know better! I thought I was going to get away with the one little bunch of hair Tyler cut from the top of his own hair a couple years ago that was hardly noticeable!
Tyler cut Mikelle's hair off........and their explanation......"She wanted to scare the boys 'cause she doesn't like boys.....just Tyler!" And then after realizing what they had done.....she is now worried about scaring all her friends too! :( I have no idea how they reason at this age!

Why couldn't she have waited to scare them away till she was 16! I'm looking at these pictures and I still can't believe they did this! Hopefully Aunt Shanan will be able to fix it! ;)

But no matter what miracles Shanan can perform.....I don't think there will be any ringlets in her near future! *Sigh* Oh, well....she is still cute....and I suppose it will be a nice easy summer do....ha ha!

Sorry, no pics.....but I don't think you'd want to see any with this story anyway!
I've been having issues with my right kidney off and on for a few weeks now...so here's a little update:

Saturday before Mother's Day I was having a good day (i.e. I could hardly feel any pain at all)!
We planted our garden, my parents came up, it was a fun day! About 9:00 p.m. it hit.....the pain came on hard and fast.....I thought I was going to die for the next 3 hours....which involved excruciating pain, throwing up from the pain, a priesthood blessing, Daniel massaging my kidney area and then finally some relief! There is always and episode similar to this while passing a kidney stone! Not fun! :( However what happened next had never happened before....my body kinda went into shock and I started shaking uncontrollably, this lasted for a while and then I was finally able to sleep! In the morning I had a fever, a pounding headache, felt weak, pulse racing, I could barely lift my head off my pillow, etc...HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ME.........HA HA! I felt like this for the next day and Daniel drove me down to St. George where I could get some help from my mom and my grandma! Yea!!! I felt the same on tuesday so I went to see a doctor who told me I looked like "death warmed over"......which is also how I felt! It turns out the kidney stones and infection had lowered my immune system and I had also caught the flu! Well, it is Thursday now and I am starting to feel better! Still got a ways to go, but I am grateful for the improvement thus far! I am also so thankful to my wonderful mother and grandmother who have taken such good care of me and my family! Love you guys! :) Also thanks to those who have called to check on me! You guys are so sweet!

My computer is having issues...I try to upload 5 images and it picks 2 and uploads them. So these pics are in random order! Also my body is having issues! I think I've got kidney stones again! Uuugggghhh! So if you don't hear from me it's because I'm laying in bed with my Lortab, lemon water, and heating pad! :( Or at least that's where I want to be!
Tyler turned 7 and had his first friend birthday party this year! It was last minute but he loved it!!! Here he is opening presents......Ben 10 Alien Force (whatever that is) is his favorite these days! He was very desciptive about what he wanted so I was able to find it pretty easy!

Eating cupcakes with all his friends! Crazy kids! :)

This is Austin with Mascara war painted across his face! It's funny 'cause a friend of mine just posted some pics of her little boy the same age as Austin with Mascara all over his face and I left a comment about it and that Austin hadn't done that one yet.....but I guess I spoke too soon! lol!

Playing duck, duck, goose at Tyler's party at the park! They ended with a water balloon fight and had a blast! I think it was a success!

I came into the living room and found Mikelle "reading" books to Austin and Shaelynn! It was so cute that I just had to grab the camera! When Austin looked up and saw me with the camera he gave me this big grin and said, "Cheeeeeese!"

A day at the park!

This has nothing to do with the park...lol! My ward is doing a service auction for R.S. enrichment night! You can either bring something you've made or offer a service like babysitting or cleaning or something! I made this flower clip and bracelet to go with it! It turned out so cute that now I want to go thru all my girl clothes and see if I have anything black and pink so I can make one for Shaelynn! And if I don't find anything....I may have to go buy a cute outfit...ha ha!

P.S. I'm not starting a business or anything, but if anyone wants me to make somethin' for their baby or a gift let me know! The bracelets 0-6 months are $4, 6-12 months, $4.50, and anything bigger than that $5! The flower clips are $3 and $5 with a headband!

I've never had a baby suck their thumb before! Austin sucked his 2 fingers till he was about 6 months. Hopefully if she keeps this up she'll do the same thing and give it up on her own! ;)

She's been finding that thumb every day for the last couple days....but she won't take a binki so it's kinda nice there is something she will suck on (other than me...ha ha)!

This is just a cute little face she was making! Love it!!! And gotta love the pink & brown outfit! Adorable.....

Tyler had been doing Bantam Wrestling this year.....he enjoys it....but does get frustrated about not winning! He has 3 bronze medals that he is very proud of though! :)

On the awards stand at the Kanab meet on March 14th! The video below was at the Panguitch tournament which was the first one we'd been to....this is his very first match......he did pretty good for never having done it before and especially the fact that he was so nervous we had to talk him into going to that meet! :)

I love this dress.....it is soooooooo gorgeous! Love the girl in it too!!!

I found this flower at Harmon's of all places! :) I knew it would be just perfect to go with her dress!

I made this bracelet before Shaelynn was even born (probably even before Austin was born....I thought he might be a girl) because I knew I wanted the blessing dress to have purple accents!

This one is partially Mikelle's doing.....she was pushing him around the house! Funny, he never really took a binki as a baby.....but now he loves them :) No worries.....he doesn't suck on them, just chews on them and pretends to be a baby! Ha ha!

playing games with Dad and Grandma Church.......(she had a valentine tree and the kids got to take turns picking valentine's off the tree to see which game they got to play! They loved it!!!)

watching movies, and going swimming! (No pics of swimming, I went to Wal-mart and missed it)

The adults also had fun playing games and watching movies and getting massages (oh, wait.....that last one was just me....he he, thanks babe!) Daniel's parents have a massage table, so of course we tried it out!

This is my BIG baby....
He is so funny....he loves to wear hats (so when he found the baby's beanie, he had to try it on)!
He also loves to take his clothes off (a new feat he has mastered)!

I thought it was so funny that he posed for this picture.....this is usually not the case.....and I don't know where he learned this pose (maybe Mikelle?).

Austin thought it was great fun helping make the brownies for FHE or at least helping lick the brownie mix off the spatula!

Great Grandma Donna came to visit and help me out and bond with her new great grandbaby!
Aren't they so cute? We were so happy to have her come.......my arm finally got a little break! :)

Daniel said I couldn't post this pic, 'cause everyone would think that as soon as he gets home he grabs a kid and goes to sleep! Ha ha.....he is good at putting the kids to bed! I just think it is so cute when he falls asleep with them!

My sweet neighbor brought over this basket full of goodies for the kids, diapers, and other baby things.....and Austin thought it was just the right size for him!

I had just gotten Austin a bottle and he went in the living room and Mikelle put on a movie and got him on the couch with his blanket! She is such a good little mommy!

Mikelle came and told me I had to come see the baby and take a picture, because "It is so cute!"

In the picture it looks like she's falling off the chair, but she's really not! (Oh, and Mikelle dressed her today, I left her laying on the changing table in just a onesie, and I came back to Mikelle putting this cute little outfit on her!)

She is finally big enough to wear her Christmas P.J.'s! On Christmas Eve we didn't even try them on her.....she was just too tiny! They are so soft and snuggly though, I love them!

Austin just loves to hold her and play with her! So far he hasn't picked her up by himself.....we'll keep our fingers crossed!

Mikelle is so good to hold Shaelynn for me.....and she is so good at it....she surprises me! Sometimes even when I can't get her to stop crying.....Mikelle can hold her on her shoulder and pat her back....and it does the trick!

New Haircut!

Well, my sisters talked me into cutting my hair however they wanted to do it, which is kinda scary for me....I've never had it really short before....or even kinda short for that matter!
I made the mistake of telling them that they could cut it however they wanted as long as I could still put it in a pony-tail! I didn't specify it had to be a pony-tail that wouldn't need bobby-pins to hold the sides in! :)It actually turned out pretty cute, although these lovely self-portraits don't really do it justice!

I did let my 5 yr. old take this one of the back! It's probably the best one, ha ha! :)

She got here on December 20th, 2008 at 10:44 a.m. and weighed 7 lbs. and was 19 in. long!
I had planned to have a natural delivery with no epidural......but she kinda changed the plan.....
we ended up having an emergency C-section after trying to turn her manually, because she was breech! They got her turned and we were starting to get excited about that when they said her heart rate had dropped to 50 and we were heading to the O.R. Everybody was just rushing around me and it was probably the scariest thing I've ever experienced, but they had her out in about 5 minutes and she was doing great! I wouldn't ever recommend a C-section, because I am still feeling pretty rough.....but we are sure glad that everyone is here, healthy, and happy!

My precious little angel baby! Can you believe my 4th child was my smallest and the only one I didn't have to push out?

Mikelle, Tyler, and Austin came to see their new sister and they all just love her! Mikelle is especially happy to have a sister (she'd hold her 24/7 if she could), Austin is very possesive and thinks that she is his....he wants to be independent and hold her all by himself (it's so cute), Tyler is happy to have his little sister here.....he held her once and then he was good! :)

Shanan and Kelly have a sweet little addition to their family! They look pretty good for being at the hospital since 2:00 in the morning! It was a long night of no sleep!
He was born on December 6th at 11:24 a.m.! Shanan let me come to the delivery....it was amazing!!!

Carson Paul Wasden weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19 inches long!

Isn't he so adorable? He is such a good little baby.....he never cries, but he sure does love to suck....he takes a pacifier very well! We are excited about our new little nephew Carson!

Pretty soon he will have a new little cousin just his size!!! Only 2 more wks now! Yea!!!

Turkey Dinner...Turkey Dinner...Gather 'Round...

Daniel was so excited.....he just couldn't wait for a plate!!!!

We had Thanksgiving dinner up at the church so we could all fit around a table (or 3)!

This is trying to get a cute family picture with 3 kids.....you can imagine our next one with 4! :)

We had to get one last picture of our prego bellies, because Shanan is due on the 3rd! Only 2 more days!!! Hopefully she will have it by then, but if all else fails they will start her on the 10th!

This kodak moment was too cute to resist.....still "in love" after 50 years!!! We love Grandma Donna & Grandpa Jay!

The kids had fun on the wiggle cars and the big boys played basketball!

Austin was a little monkey and was content to climb on anything he could find!

What a little cutie!!! He has just about everybody wrapped around his little finger!

Then we had a gingerbread house making contest! Here are a few of the finished products! Mom & Dad's never got a picture because shortly before it was finished it became the casualty of an incoming basketball! Sad :(

This is how I found Austin watching cartoons today!
He was sitting in this little Santa rocking chair we had set out with our decorations last night!

We put up Christmas decor. and watched a christmas movie for FHE last night!

I love this kid!!! It actually reminded us of when Mikelle was that little and she thought that was her special little chair too! :) They grow up way too fast!

I love it.....didn't it turn out cute? I'm thinking about adding 2 more hooks to the bottom though.

(because that is not all of the headbands, just the ones I think will be used more often! hehe!) Daniel thinks she'll have a different bow for every day of her life! At least I'll have 2 girls to use them for! That's what I love about the interchangeable headbands and making the bows on clips, so you can use them when they grow out of the headbands! Although I did make some newborn bows that are attached to the headband, because their heads are just so tiny at first!

These are my most recent projects I've been working on.....you can't tell I'm still way excited about having a baby girl, can you? Well, I love these flowers I made....they are so adorable and the pink hooks are for hanging headbands on a flower/bow holder frame that I'm still in the process of finishing......so I'll post a picture of that when it's done too! I've even managed to get a little scrapbooking in too, but this is pretty much what my kitchen table has looked like for the last several weeks!

This weekend I went to visit Christy (Daniel's sister) and baby Bella! She was only 6 lbs. when she was born, isn't she tiny?
She is so cute.......it just makes it harder for me to wait......6 more weeks

She almost looks chubby with those little cheeks in this pic.....but don't let that fool ya......she has the tiniest little legs and arms...I just couldn't believe how little she was...I'm used to 9 pounders

I only got to enjoy holding her for a minute 'cause I had to pick Daniel up from the Kanab vs. Parowan game (Kanab won.....yea!!!) and head back to St. George where I left my kids!

She is a perfect little angel.....and Christy doesn't mind having her here early since she is healthy and all....lucky girl! :)

A trip to the store....

Sorry, no pics today. Today I took all the kids to the store to do some grocery shopping and I was having a hard time getting Austin to stay sitting in the cart! He kept wanting to stand up, sit on the edge, try to climb out, etc.........so I thought I'd give him something to hold! I gave him a can a green beans.....big mistake! He actually held it for a long time, but over in the produce section where I was looking for some good celery......he dropped it on my toe!!! Now maybe I sound like a big baby, but it was all I could do not to cry! So I'm crouched down in front of my cart full of children (7 months pregnant no less) and holding my toe, trying to breathe and focus so I wouldn't cry......it hurt that bad, it really did, I thought he may have broken it! Anyway, can ya picture this? I'm thinking.....to any onlookers I must look like I'm going into labor! People just looked at me kinda funny, but didn't say anything....so I decided I better at least stand up and pretend to be Ok! So then I hobble away with my throbbing toe and get thru the checkout without any problems, thank goodness! But as we're loading the groceries in the parking lot, the kids see my toe all purple and starting to bleed! Tyler's like....."Eewwww, gross.....your toe is bleeding, I can't be by you 'cause you're bleeding!" Then Mikelle is like "Eewwwwww, I want to see!" And Tyler is like "C'mon Mikelle, we can't be by Mommy, 'cause she's bleeding and it might get on us!" Silly kids!!!
So after all that drama, I was just exhausted and decided to pick up Wendy's for lunch since Daniel is in Cedar City for meetings and wouldn't be home for lunch anyway! So we're waiting in the Drive-thru at Wendy's with cars full of high school kids in front of and behind us waving to each other and I'm thinking back about going out for lunch when I was in high school...fun times...then one of the kids in front of me just drops a mountain dew can out his window! I'm going.....did he seriously just throw trash out the window in the Wendy's driveway? I mean you see trash along roads all the time, but I figured it was mostly stuff that blew away on accident or something! I don't think I've ever seen anyone deliberately just throw trash on the ground (I'm sure it happens all the time, just not right in front of me). That just irritated me....and I'm like....I should be a good citizen and go pick that up....but then I thought....but I'm pregnant and I just smashed my toe and I don't want to get out of the car in the Wendy's Drive-thru in front of all these people, etc......then I thought.....if I can't do this simple little thing, then how will I be able to stand up for something that's really important (plus, I thought this would be a great teaching moment with my kids about littering)! So, I got out and walked around my car and picked it up and put it in a trash bag in my car.....and explained to my kids why we shouldn't litter and why we should clean up after people that do and so on! Well, the kids who threw it out saw me.....and hopefully they will think twice before doing it again, but even if they don't, I still felt better that there was one less mountain dew can on the ground! :0) Sorry I was so long-winded today!!! I guess I just needed to vent!

You're supposed to go to the 4th folder or file or whatever and then the 4th picture and post it!
I thought it looked like a fun tag! I decided to post pictures 5 & 6 as well cause they just went with #4!
Daniel & I were mixing concrete for a cement pad we were laying for our shed (since we had no garage when we moved to Kanab)! The water was running and creating a big mud puddle where the 2 hoses connected in our big back yard full of dirt!
Tyler and Mikelle thought this was a great activity! Mikelle's pants were so muddy I had to just throw them away.....they wouldn't come clean at all! I wonder why it is that when I find they've been into something, Mikelle always gets the worst of it.....I should go find the pictures of her face covered in Peanut butter, and the one when Tyler was making her look like "Princess Jasmine" with my make-up, and when her hair was plastered to her head with vaseline! Does anybody else have kids as mischevious as mine?

Trying to make room for another child in a 3 bedroom house with no garage......is not easy! Up till now Mikelle and Tyler shared a room, Austin, Daniel, and I shared a room, and the other room was a guest room slash storage, sewing, scrapbook, and whatever other junk we needed to throw somewhere room! It was hard to clean out, but we've almost done it! We are just waiting for Mikelle's new dresser to get here and some other things to be picked up and we'll be set! Tyler got moved to the top bunk and Austin is now in the bottom bunk, Mikelle has the nice queen size bed in her room (but she will get kicked out when company comes to stay), and Daniel and I have about 10 weeks till we get another little room mate!

Mikelle is excited to have a girly room.....and she thinks the baby will be moving in with her after she's born......little does she know, it will be a few months (like 12)! :)

Ever since we thought we were having a girl I've been working on hairbows and things......here are a few of the fun things I've been making!
Our ultrasound on Friday confirmed that we are indeed having a little girl! I'm soooooo excited! I bought this little pink & brown jacket that day (my new favorite colors), and my mom bought these shoes when we found it was girl (mom got shanan the same shoes in blue and brown when she found out she was having a boy!) We are so excited to have lots of babies the same age! My sister Shanan is due Dec. 3rd, Daniel's sister Christy is due Dec. 12th (a girl as well), and our sister-in-law Ana just had her adorable little girl, Ashtynn, on Oct. 2nd (check out Jake & Ana's blog for pics)!

I just thought it would be fun to see Halloweens thru the years, but I couldn't find very many pictures!!! Oh, well, here's what I found!
Last year Austin was the cutest little bat I've ever seen.....also the pic above this is all the kids!
This is 2005....a good year for pumpkin carving for us.....back when we live in Cedar City!

These are my new Halloween blocks that I got for free at a yard sale.....because they were missing the "O"..... so my new project is to get my brother to cut out a matching piece of wood so I can paint it and have a full set!
This is my favorite Halloween frame.....the picture is old....but also one of my favorites!
These are my Halloween helpers.....they were so excited to decorate for Halloween since it's finally October! Tyler and Mikelle found their new Halloween shirts and had to try them on....and Austin was too funny to watch as he got so excited about the decorations......especially the spiders.....he tries to say spider and points to them and sqeals!

I've seen this on a couple of my friends blogs, so I decided to do it with Mikelle! It should be good to find out what she really thinks!!! :)

1. What is something mom always says to me? I don't know!
2. What makes mom happy? Say sorry.....I mean say, "Mom, can I please have some juice?" And when you say "No, cause you already had some!" and I say "OK, mom!" And when Austin says something and makes us laugh! (That was quite the answer.....I didn't know if she was gonna stop, but at least there's a few things that make me happy!)
3. What makes mom sad? I don't know.....I mean, it makes mommy sad when we don't clean up our toys and when we don't be nice to Austin!
4. How does mom make you laugh? Say Booga Booga! (I don't know if I've ever said that, but it would make her laugh if I did!)
5. What was mom like as a child? A baby?
6. How old is Mommy? 3....(Wow, in her mind I'm younger than her......no wonder she doesn't want to listen to me)
7. How tall is mommy? This many tall.....1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10...11...12...14...19...18(as she measured from my feet to my head with her hands).
8. What is mommy's favorite thing to do? Do laundry (I guess if you go off of what I do the most as my favorite then this is probably true)
9. What does mom do when I'm not around? Try and find me!
10. If mom becomes famous, what will it be for? A baby! (Take note....I will someday be famous for having babies!)
11. What is mom really good at? Playing games! Are you good at playing games? (she had to double check on that one)
12. What is mom not really good at? Fixing blinds, only Daddy is....cause he fixes the blinds that Tyler breaks! (We do leave that job for Dad)
13. What does mom do for her job? Do laundry (My favorite thing to do is also my job)
14. What is mom's favorite food? Broccoli (I really have no idea where that came from, but I do like broccoli)
15. What makes me proud of my mom? Throwing balls and catching it! (This is funny because we were just playing catch the other day, and the kids were telling me good catch and good throw, but only me, not anybody else, like I was the only one that needed encouragement and improvement or something....I don't know....but I guess I was making them proud, who knew!?!?)
16. If mommy were a cartoon character, who would she be? A princess! (Yea!!!)

Sorry, these pictures aren't really in order..... but this is Uncle Braden, who was the one that decapitated the Dora pinata.....she was pretty tough!
The big boys had fun throwing Dora up in the air and swinging at her to try and get the rest of the candy out of the body! This is Daniel taking a swing....

Mikelle's birthday isn't actually until Tuesday, but we celebrated it on Sunday while we were in St. George with all the fam!

Kanab has an ongoing tradition of having the kindergarten classes all riding on a big semi-truck flatbed trailer in the High School Homecoming Parade....even Daniel remembers riding in the parade as a kindergartner and then again as a football player in high school!!! Cool, huh? That's one thing I like about small towns!
Tyler was in the Homecoming Parade with all the kindergartners......class of 2021!!!
They got to dress up like football players, and cheerleaders, and cowboys! Go Kanab Cowboys!

The kids love to chase this turkey all around the vacant yard next door, where it likes to hang out. Austin gets so excited to see it too! We do enjoy seeing the wildlife around our house, for the most part! We see deer, and turkeys, and squirrels, etc....but we've had a mountain lion in the neighborhood, and I pray that I never have to experience that one!!!

Tyler was excited and nervous for his first day of kindergarten.........but now he's just excited! He wishes he could go to school every day! He also told me that he wishes school was longer so they could have 2 snack times!
